K. Acosta Design & Media This web site offers a small sampling of my design experience. I hold a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design with a Minor in Art History, Italian Renaissance Emphasis, from the University of Arizona in Tucson. I stay current with technology and design through numerous classes and certificate programs. My professional experience includes the high-pressure environment of a large circulation daily newspaper and a competitive Boston area ad agency. I have also proudly held the position of Art Director for an international book publishing firm. All of these positions enhanced my creativity, my diversity and my enlightenment as a designer. I embarked on my freelance career to allow myself the creative freedom all artists desire and to satisfy my life's other passions: sailing and dressage. I am married to an officer in the United States Marine Corps and our travels throughout the country give me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients in a limitless range of projects. I strongly support our military, its veterans and their spouses. I welcome projects that allow me to give back to the people who fight for our freedoms. As an animal lover, I enjoy working with humane groups, especially those that work to save equines and the hopeful cats and dogs trapped in our nation's shelters.
